What is The DHI Hair Transplant?
The DHI Hair Implant Method is an evolved form of FUE. However, the DHI technique differs from all the others in that the entire hair transplant process is carried out manually by an expert doctor from the removal of each follicle to the implantation of each of these grafts.
Performed by hand, using a high-precision CHOI injector, this method allows the practitioner to control the depth, angle and direction of implantation step by step for each hair follicle. This hair transplant technique is therefore performed without any incision and on the donor part as on the recipient which leaves no scar. It produces a perfectly natural and dense result.
Why choose the DHI Method?
It is better to choose the DHI technique because it is gentle on the scalp and follicles. No incisions or slits prior to the scalpel used on the recipient area. This technique is the most recent practiced by surgeons. It is absolutely painless due to the fact that it is accompanied by anesthesia.
The DHI method offers better preservation of the hair over the years. It is done by taking into account the prognoses on aging. Indeed, the genetic component makes it possible to visualize the progression of hair loss and to define the number of grafts to be implanted. It also allows us to implant the grafts without shaving the hair completely, especially for womens.
The advantages of the DHI technique:
- It is not invasive, painless, without hospitalization.
- It is not necessary to shave the recipient area
- It can give more density.
- It has more precision and accuracy
- Patients can resume their normal lives the day after the operation
- Natural and scar-free results
What precautions should be taken before a DHI session?
Before any intervention, you must answer a medical questionnaire specifying whether you have diabetes, high blood pressure as well as any medication, consumption of psychotropic drugs or cardio-trope treatment. 3 days before the procedure, it is important to avoid aspirin. 48 hours before the procedure, stop consuming alcohol or coffee and reduce your tobacco consumption.
Are there any prohibitions or prescriptions after the procedure?
During the 15 days after the operation, it is preferable to avoid exposure to the sun of the scalp as well as intense efforts. Medication provided by the clinic should be taken regularly.
What can be the complications following the operation?
There are no real complications but the patient may feel weak, have a headache or have a slight burning or itching sensation. Local anesthesia can sometimes cause swelling without pain or danger (edema). Only 10% of patients experience this inconvenience and it gradually and naturally subsides after 3 or 4 days. Very occasionally, small red spots appear on the recipient area. This is an irritation to be treated with a medicinal shampoo.
