FUE without shaving is ideal to correct a limited alopecia (tonsure, gulfs or frontal line). This recent technique makes it possible to harvest the implants without any shaving of the scalp, whether it is the harvesting area or the implantation area. It thus allows an almost immediate resumption of socio-professional activities with complete discretion.
What is The Unshaven FUE Transplant?
Unshaven FUE is a hair transplant technique that replaces bald areas of the scalp with hair follicles taken from areas not affected by alopecia, namely the back of the head and temples.
It is currently the least invasive grafting technique, as the extraction is done by means of a micro-punch. This sharp circular surgical instrument is used to undo the follicular units of all their skin and fatty attachments. It has the advantage of leaving only infra-millimeter micro-dots for scars, barely perceptible to the naked eye on a white-shaved scalp.
The Benefits Of Unshaven FUE Transplant
- Corrects alopecia limited to one area in an unnoticed, definitive and aesthetic way
- Allows the extraction of up to 1500 to 2000 grafts in a single session .
- Requires no shaving, no suturing
- Almost immediate resumption of professional activities
For Which Patients?
The unshaven FUE transplant can be performed on both men and women with alopecia limited to one area.
What Are The Results?
FUE without shaving helps to cover a bald area in a natural and dense way. The transplanted hair will grow back for the life of the patient.
The Course Of The Procedure?
Hair Diagnosis Before The Transplant
Before starting to transplant, the doctor diagnoses the patient's case and gives him all the necessary information regarding the operation, the appropriate FUE technique and answers all his questions.
Graft Extraction
The grafts are extracted one by one using a micro forceps. Once extracted, they will be reserved in a physiological saline solution to then be checked and sorted before implantation.
Preparation Of The Grafting Area (Opening Of The Canals)
Very small incisions will be made on the bald area to prepare the skull for the implantation of the grafts. This step is crucial and determines the final result of the transplant: the incisions are very close together in order to mimic a natural effect and take into account a certain axis which will determine the direction of hair regrowth.
Implantation Of Grafts
The follicles are implanted one by one in the incisions and this, in an irregular manner to recreate a natural effect.
